Dear all,

Welcome to the fifth bulletin from the rather erratic Michael Amos 
mailing list.  I know it was September, 2006 when I posted my last email 
but hey, I've been busy.

Firstly, I hope this email finds you all well and I wish you the very 
best for 2008.

March sees the publication of my second book with Samhain Publishing 
Ltd, The Rocktastic Corduroy Peach.  Set in my home town of Oxford, the 
novel follows the fortunes of four dysfunctional men in an amateur 
indie-rock band. It is drawn from my own experiences of musical failure 
over the last twenty-five years, and could best be described as a 
comedy-melodrama.  The two themes of the book are the end of youth, and 
the tug of war between impossible dreams and life's real priorities; 
love, friendship and honesty.

I've also been busy writing what might be described as a sequel to 
Homeland.  Going under the working title of The Everlasting Beyond of 
Eternal Happiness, it is a science-fiction comedy about sex, death, God 
and chocolate.  Hopefully, I should have more on this oevr the coming 
months.

Finally, I've been re-vamping my web pages at www.michaelamos.net.
